The Seven Chakras: A Map of Balance and Energy
In the yogic tradition, seven energy centres — the chakras — rise along the spine from root to crown. Each is associated with a colour, an element, and an aspect of how we move through the world: safety, creativity, will, love, expression, insight, and connection.
A map, not a diagnosis
The chakra system is best understood as a map of attention. When we feel ungrounded, we attend to the root; when words won't come, we rest with the throat. The map simply gives shape to what the body already knows.
Chakra balancing at Rei Tatva is a quiet, meditative process — breath, stillness, Reiki, and the supportive presence of crystals placed at each centre.
From root to crown
The root chakra (red) speaks of safety and belonging; the sacral (orange) of creativity and flow; the solar plexus (gold) of confidence and will. At the heart (green) we find love and openness; at the throat, honest expression; at the brow, intuition; and at the crown (violet), a sense of connection to something larger.
You may notice these colours woven through our space and our identity — the vibrant leaves of the Rei Tatva tree reflect this same spectrum of energies, in balance.
Simple ways to begin at home
Sit quietly and bring your attention to the base of the spine, then slowly upward, one centre at a time, resting a few breaths at each. There is nothing to fix — only to notice.
Over time this simple scan becomes a form of self-listening: a way to meet yourself each day and restore your natural rhythm.
